CALVARY

[ MOUNT CALVARY]

Beneath the chapel of St. Helena, within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, lies the site of the crucifixion of Christ - 'Mount Calvary' or 'Golgotha'. During the excavations of Queen Helena in 325 AD. the True Cross and those of the two thieves are said to have been discovered.
