Frederick Duke of York & Albany K.G. (d.1827) was the brother of Kings' George IV, William IV & Edward, Duke of Kent ( Queen Victoria's father)
He married Frederica (d.1820, the daughter of William II king of Prussia) He was appointed Field-Marshal & Commander-in-chief of the British Army;
Immortalized in the children's nursery rhyme -'The grand old Duke of York.'
