The hill mist turns the soft hues of the Westmoreland hills to subtle blues, luminous patches of sunlight break through to illuminate the lower slopes of the tarn with Sourmilk Gill waterfall, and the meticulously delicate rendering of the foliage heightened by the rich English sunlight that bathes the scene and the flock of sheep in the foreground. |
